Sylvan Special Systems Inc. originally started as Sylvan Sound which was founded in 1946 by Mr. Sylvan Phenice. At the time Sylvan Sound provided hand-built radios and sound systems for the general public and commercial entities. Some of these original intercoms and radios can still be found operational.
